O Scale Beaver Lumber Company "The Beaver Lumber Company has its origins in the late 19th century. What you can see now is set in the 1940s. The protagonist of this layout is the Beaver Lumber Company, a large sawmill somewhere in the American Backwoods. Set amid forests, mostly Douglas pine, this majestic sawmill sits against the edge of a tree-covered canyon. Further on the layout are several buildings, mainly made of wood. They are all linked to the BLC in one way or another. The whole exudes an atmosphere that you could situate in the film Deliverance. 'Moonshine' was undoubtedly beeing made.… And if you listen carefully you can hear The Dueling Banjos resounding somewhere in the woods…
This layout is actually the 'forced' result of 'housing' all the wooden structures I've built over the past three years. For me, the large sawmill is about the highlight of the catalog. I actually wanted that sawmill on my Om layout, zéro métrique, but the scale of the sawmill turned out not to really fit with the metric zero scale. So a new layout was created. For this I also made dozens of large oaks and Douglas firs. Of course to scale, so that means that the largest spruces are almost 3,5 feet high."
