CHB Models was the passionate life's work of Charles H. Brommer or as he was known to his many modeling friends as simply "Charlie". Charlie specialized in incredible high quality, super detailed O Scale white metal kits including logging and mining implements, sawmill and machine shop machinery, Dolbeer Logging Engines, yarders, hoist engines, tools, and even a pair of beautiful MACK trucks. Charlie was an old school machinest creating the most amazing brass masters our hobby has ever seen. I was very fortunate to purchase the CHB Models line from Charlie before he passed away and have released well over 75% of the line in O Scale - white metal, since that time in 1999. With the advent of the SierraWest 3D Printing era, many of these legendary kits are now being released with updated 3D Printed parts for the first time! These parts are incredibly crisp and accurate upholding and exceeding the standards Charlie set all those years ago.

Since 1995, SierraWest Scale Models has been the undisputed leader the world over in hand-poured resin and white metal detail castings. With emerging 3D Printing technology, SierraWest continues this tradition of unparalleled dedication to quality and innovation. Utilizing custom high-strength tooling resin, SWSM 3D Printed detail parts are very durable and easily handled. Supports are removed here in the shop so you can enjoy the painting and weathering process. Replacement parts are sent fast and free if you damage or lose a part. A small shipping and packaging fee may be added to cover costs. Be sure to check back often for the addition of new details.

24 Inch "Eureka" Engine Lathe 3D Printed Kit

Almost 40 years ago Charles H. Brommer introduced his now legendary white metal Machine Shop kits with a series of understated black and white ads in the Gazette. How could his mastery of meticulous research, creating brass patterns that are unrivaled to this day, or his amazing hand casting work be improved upon? Enter 3D Printed parts! Each 3D Printed part is an almost exact replica of those incredible brass masters. Each Machine is faithfully reproduced as Charlie intended them to be. The prototype was manufactured in the early 1900's and many can be found today in museums and private collections. An online search reveals a wealth of photographs and information that will aide in your modeling of the beautiful piece. They’re so easy to assemble and for the first time ever, available in HO Scale as well as the original O Scale. These machines are a joy to work with and are incredibly versatile. Over the coming months, I will be making the entire set available including the beautiful vertical boiler and single cylinder mill engine, a machine shop detailing set, and an overhead belt drive kit.

With just 8 pieces, this is a fast and easy kit to assemble, paint, and weather. As with all of my 3D Printed parts, damaged pieces will be replaced at no charge. A shipping and small packaging fee will be assessed to cover costs. Photographic props are not included. The photographs illustrate an assembled, painted, and weathered model. Assembly, painting, and weathering is required. A link to online instructions is provided with each kit that include the original CHB drawings. Prices listed do not include shipping.
